The Logistics Engineering teams are responsible for the solution design, detailed technical design, development, quality assurance, implementation, post go live validation warranty support and defining the monitoring metrics of the logistics domain and supply chain system capabilities.

This role will work across the entire functional domain of all the brands.
The ideal candidate would have the ability to effectively come up with technical design for capabilities across supply chain systems, influence/participate in architectural/design discussions, strategic planning, roadmaps, and decisions to ensure we build impactful, compelling, and scalable solutions in an incremental fashion, unlocking hyper-growth, data-driven decision making and creating a world of possibilities for our customers/business.
Success in the role requires agility and results-orientation, strategic and innovative thinking, a proven track record of delivering new customer-facing software products at scale, rigorous analytical skills, and a passion for automation and data-driven approaches to solving problems.
?Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment Logistics Warehouse Management systems, among cross functional systems of supply chain and Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management Open Systems (WMOS) backend database, to design integration layer among Supply chain systems
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and engineers
- Design and develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable architectures
- Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
- Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and high-quality SQL and PL/SQL scripts
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
- Advocate for best practices and modern development methodologies
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for system designs, code, and processes
- Ensure knowledge transfer and training for team members and production support team on new project go-live and best practices
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions
- Ability to triage, research, and find root causes of Production Incidents
- Adherence to Agile development methodology – Jira update, story points for each jira type, regular updates to jira to derive accurate updates and tracking
Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of overall experience in developing and delivering Logistics engineering solutions with multiple active tracks.
- Ability to systematically gather relevant information from different sources to address an issue and make a prompt and insightful decision.
- Proven experience in developing and executing plans, meeting deadlines and operating under tight time constraints.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in making articulate and effective verbal presentations to different audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including such areas as team spirit, negotiation, collaboration, pitching in where needed, and valuing and respecting individuals.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Technical Competencies required:
- 8+ years of overall experience in developing and delivering Logistics domain projects, preferably Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management Open Systems (WMOS) backend database, to design integration layer among Supply chain systems.
- Technical expertise in WMS flows in fulfilment center like, Pre-Receiving, Inbound/Receiving, Immediate needs, put-away/storage, inventory control, waving, picking, packing, task management, cycle count, outbound/shipping, invoicing, MHE inbound and outbound message processing between WM and WCS (Wyn-right system), Tompkins SC, PULSE, Tompkins Cubiscan, Savoye.
- Technical expertise and hands-on experience with implementing and owning enterprise level Logistics and related Supply Chain Systems.
- Expertise in building highly scalable and transactional Distribution Center applications.
- Good understanding of infrastructure, networks, and security with a focus on security life cycle management and cybersecurity.
