Purpose
This Design Studio Operations Manager is responsible for managing operational functions in the store to ensure customer satisfaction, safety, maximum productivity and profitability, inventory control and compliance with company policy and procedures. Take care of customers. Maintain the cleanliness of the store.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to adapt to highly complex business model
- Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, training, sales generation, operations and merchandising
- Excellent communication, delegation, follow up and analytical skills
- One year of operations experience
- Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment in managing a fast-paced environment adapting to change with a sense of urgency
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Must be detailed oriented and highly organized,
- Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
- Willing to work retail hours to include weekends, and some holidays
- Willing to adjust schedule based on business needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Essential Functions
- Review daily customer orders for completion
- Perform cycle counts daily for replenishment of samples
- Planning and controlling the budget/P&L management
- Execute shipping and receiving per company policy
- Review reporting weekly to determine assortment changes
- Manage customer orders to include storage buys in a variety of locations, to include follow up
- Work closely with super stores and DC’s in your market
- Preform general cleaning duties and maintain cleanliness of studio
- Act and work in a manner that is consistent with company’s core values
- Perform supervisory functions to include opening and closing the store
- Problem solve/provide solutions to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Heavily involved in customer interaction
- Manage the store and its employees to ensure all store financial goals achieved
- Ensure brand standards and operating standards meet or exceed company expectations to support brand consistency
- Monitor, maintain and follow company policies; support company expectations and systems
- Handle store level human resources or loss prevention issues with Senior Director Regional Operations (SDRO), Human Resources Manager or Loss Prevention Manager when necessary
- Supervise the cash handling practices and ensure necessary communications to the corporate finance department
- Ensure the store adheres to SOPs
- Ensure compliance with hiring, payroll, and business planning
- Perform additional managerial duties as required
Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
- The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.
- Travel by car will be required to move product between stores.
Physical/Sensory Requirements
Physical Work – Ability exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
