Performs various tasks specifically related to the servicing of all loan types as detailed below. All duties are performed in accordance with establishment guidelines and policies.
Ensures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide coaching, development, and performance management to include the following duties
- All aspects of Construction loan servicing
- Customer service for clients, inspectors, project managers, and Loan Administration staff.
- Construction inspections with third party inspector
- Tracking and monitoring all Preliminary lien notices and lien waivers (Conditional and Unconditional)
- Obtaining appropriate endorsements from Title Companies
- Posting monthly interest reserve transactions to client spreadsheets
- Preparing and distributing various Loan Status Reports to senior management
- Monitoring change orders and line items transfers for potential cost over-runs and delays.
- Processing draw requests and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Work with SBA Construction Management team to support respective projects
- Evaluate at least annually the Third-Party Construction Management vendors
- Support Executive Management with projects and tasks as requested
- Oversee the appraisal process
- Ensure that service levels are being achieved
- Minimum of 10 hours CRA volunteer hours per year. Volunteer hours are typically scheduled within business hours. This is compensable time and mileage is reimbursed
- Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises Construction Loan Servicing Officer(s), Construction Loan Specialist, and Appraisal Coordinator.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance preferred or the equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years banking experience, preferably in a Loan Operations/Servicing function
- Minimum 3 to 5 years construction experience or related field
- Well versed in economic factors affecting real estate demand by users and investors Familiar with real estate industry concepts and markets
- Proficient in the following software applications: MS Word, Excel, Outlook. Excellent written and verbal communication
Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment:
The incumbent in the course of performing this position frequently spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, operating basic business equipment, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, client contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions. The incumbent for this position will occasionally lift up to 15 pounds, pull, squat, kneel and reach. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will. The work environment is typically quiet to a moderate noise level.
Travel is required. It is primarily local during the business day, and occasionally there will be out-of-area and overnight travel.
