Associate Manager, Direct to Consumer (DTC) & Catalog Site Merchandising
The Associate Manager, DTC will be responsible for helping to drive and execute the merchandising strategy across multiple direct-to-consumer and catalog sites in the Home segment, including Yankee Candle, Foodsaver, and Calphalon. The ideal candidate should possess a background in eCommerce merchandising, passion for product, with a blend of analytical and creative skills. This role requires collaboration with various cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Brand, Marketing, Planning, and Digital Technology to develop new strategies to drive profitable growth for our brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product merchandising strategy and execution on DTC and catalog websites, and be accountable for revenue and margin goals and other web KPIs
- Create and own the execution of the site merchandising calendar
- Lead new product launches and provide expert guidance to cross functional teams on how to leverage eCommerce direct channel for these campaigns
- Collaborate with the Creative and Production teams on creating enhanced content for DTC websites that will increase conversion
- Ensure best-in-class merchandising capabilities are aligned with the unique consumer needs, including upsells, cross-sells, enhanced content, etc
- Create new selling strategies and models (subscriptions, bundles, exclusives, custom products etc.) for DTC to grow revenues by creating differentiation for DTC channel
- Support customer retention strategies by developing new initiatives to increase repeat purchases through the direct channel
- Leverage the support of Brand partners to maintain the site catalogs, ensuring a comprehensive assortment while managing product lifecycle
- Prioritize merchandising initiatives by collaborating with Tech and Analytics teams to identify the highest ROI initiatives.
- Support promotions strategy by collaborating with cross-functional teams. Identify new and innovative promotion opportunities to drive sales growth
- Manage strategic relationships with external agencies and third party vendors
- Travel 10-15%

With a background of 3 years of experience in eCommerce merchandising, they possess a strong understanding of eCommerce platforms and best practices. Their creative, analytical, and detail-oriented nature, combined with excellent communication and collaboration skills, make them well-equipped to drive growth and success in the online retail space.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business, or similar field.
- 3 years of experience in eCommerce merchandising, preferably in the home industry.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms and online merchandising best practices.
- Creative eye for visual merchandising and product presentation.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to both work in startup-like environments and within a large matrixed organization.
