Reporting to the Director of Supply Planning, the In-Stock Planning Manager will play a key role in our company growth. Duties will include leading the In-stock Planning team to ensure service levels are met with suppliers and customers. The In-stock Planning Manager is responsible for the in-bound plans for K-Cups, Capsules, Tea, Partner brand coffee bags, Retail & Away-From-Home (AFH) supplies, and key production components to suppliers, vendors, and partners. The manager will be responsible for managing the forward-looking inventory plans of inbound items while balancing costs, service levels, contractual requirements, and constraints to meet customer needs effectively.
This role is expected to monitor and maintain KPIs to ensure non-coffee finished goods and supplies are in-stock with appropriate lead times and create mitigation plans, when needed, to meet business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Manage team of 6 In-Stock Planners
- Manage inbound buying and planning for key finished goods, components, and suppliers
- Manage forward looking medium (up to 16wks) to long term (12-18mo) inbound plans
- Ensures team is managing towards inventory targets and service levels for assigned products
- Ensure teams place Work Orders and Purchase Orders on-time for finished goods receipt.
- Works with Finance to ensure all payments are made on time for suppliers/vendors
- Monitor, analyze and own KPIs/metrics across all in-bound categories, suppliers, etc.
- Manage efficient inbound inventory flows and health, including purchasing
- Ability to balance the needs and requirements of internal and external customers
- Represent In-Stock Planning in the S&OP and S&OE processes
- Identify risks and opportunities to troubleshoot, optimize inventory levels or costs in the supplier and partner network
- Ensure team continuously improves service levels, measured by success factors and KPIs
- Validate root cause analysis / reporting on operational issues, develop action plans and manage improvements with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
Qualifications:
- Experience in developing and implementing inventory / replenishment teams in food or retail organizations
- Demonstrate highly developed skills to communicate and collaborate within a multichannel food or retail organization
- Demonstrate expertise as a supply chain generalist with the working knowledge and ability to understand and troubleshoot end-to-end supply chain processes including supply chain planning, procurement, logistics and distribution
- Ability to develop, plan, organize and manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated financial analytical acumen or equivalent work experience
- 5 -8 years in a planning manager role
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience leading planning professionals
Peet’s Home Office is a Hybrid worksite, which requires Home Office employees to work onsite 3 days per week.
