Job Description:
GDIT is seeking a Network Engineer to join our Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management - Next-Gen (JSP ETM - NG) team at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. Due to the nature of work this role entails, telecommuting is not allowed and will require the employee to report full-time onsite.
HOW OUR NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining network devices (switches, routers) of data and communications networks as part of Network Team.
Work with Tier I/II Service Desk Technicians and cable's team to resolve customer impacting network outages, network changes and activation.
Monitor, assign, and work Service Now tickets ensuring they are resolved within the established Service Level Agreement
Analyzes network topologies, traffic and capacity requirements
Monitor network connectivity
Create Standard Operations Procedures and Shift Reports
Maintain team schedule
Handle all escalations
May work odd hours to support facility maintenance actions to minimize customer impact.
Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned
WHT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret clearance
Required Experience: 5 years of network engineering or network administration experience
Required Certification: DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification requirements (Security+ CE or higher) and Computing Environment certification
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Required Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with the Network Administration
Location: Onsite at the Pentagon - Arlington, VA
The likely salary range for this position is $88,275 - $106,162. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
