GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Site director is a collaborative leader that is responsible for the overall health, efficiency, and effectiveness of a complex aviation maintenance, modification, and overhaul facility. Employs program management and leadership skills to facilitate organizational and employee growth. Manages a variety of concurrent efforts while succeeding in high tempo environment.
DUTIES
- Uses program management and leadership skills to facilitate employee and organizational growth, possesses strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Manages a variety of concurrent efforts in a high operational tempo facility
- Must be knowledgeable of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, requirements, policies/procedures, cost/scheduling estimating
- Must possess extensive experience in the interpretation and application of the requirements outlined in the current versions of AS9110 and DCMA Instruction 8210
- Responsible for ensuring that company financial goals are achieved while ensuring that program budgetary and schedule requirements are met or exceeded
- Experienced team builder that is comfortable establishing and maintaining relationships with federal and local government officials
- Responsible for overall site performance. Coordinates the efforts of the functional departments, as required, to ensure that the programs are conducted in accordance with the contract requirements and budget
- Establishes budgets and forecasts manpower
- Considerable flexibility of methods required to meet company goals
- Originality and initiative are extremely important as well as the ability to work under unusual or extreme pressures

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in technical area of academic study from an accredited college or university required; may substitute experience in lieu of degree
- Master's degree and/or PMP Certificate desired
- Minimum of 20 years of verifiable aviation maintenance experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience leading aviation maintenance sites of more than 50 employees
- At least 5 years' experience interpreting contract actions, modifications and resolving complex programmatic issues related to SOW
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. Working knowledge of ERP systems
