Position Summary:
The incumbent performs assigned nursing procedures, taking vital signs, collecting and processing specimens for analysis and assists physicians with examinations and treatments. Incumbent observes, records and reports the physical and mental condition of patients.

Salary Range:
Hourly Rate Minimum $30.17 Midpoint $33.85 Maximum $37.52
This position may be filled as a Vocational Nurse (job code 8917) or a Senior Vocational Nurse (job code 8916) and classification is dependent upon experience. The Vocational Nurse position requires the applicant to be a licensed vocational nurse while the Senior Vocational Nurse position requires the applicant to be a licensed vocational nurse and six (6) months of previous experience working as an LVN in an acute care setting.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Minimum 6 months experience working as an LVN in an acute care setting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Licenses and Certifications:
Basic Life Support(Required)
Licensed Vocational Nurse(Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
Understanding of JCAHO requirements
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
