Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
As the Supervisor Contracts Administration for International or Major Projects, you will lead the contracts’ function and drive the drafting, and administration of contracts for our large-scale international projects. Your expertise will be essential in managing contractual risks, optimizing project performance, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
· Oversee the entire contracts lifecycle, from pre-contract negotiations to post-contract management and dispute resolution.
· Acts as a knowledgeable contact point to provide explanation of contractual, company and/or regulatory policies, procedures, and requirements.
· Lead contract review activities, ensuring alignment with engineering and operational project objectives, legal requirements, and risk management.
· Collaborate closely with project teams, legal counsel, and other departments with regard to contract matters such as to define contract terms, scope, schedule milestones, and deliverables.
· Develop and implement contract administration processes, ensuring accurate documentation, tracking of key milestones, and compliance with contractual obligations.
· Identify and assess potential risks, proposing mitigation strategies and initiating appropriate actions to safeguard project interests.
· Proactively manage change orders, variations, and claims, facilitating effective communication and negotiation between all parties involved.
· Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and legal developments related to contracts and international project management.
· Prepares special reports or conducts special projects as assigned.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred, HS Diploma required
· 8+ years of related professional experience in energy and contracts.
· Energy construction related background is preferred.
· Familiar with applicable legal and contract terminology, conditions and with applicable governmental regulations, particularly as it relates to engineering, procurement construction, and litigation.
· Familiarity with construction and operations contractual terms and intent.
Qualifications:
· Excellent drafting skills; demonstrated experience with complicated transactions as it relates to energy construction, energy services, and procurement of goods and materials.
· Team-player with the ability to maintain good working relationships with team and all levels of management and employees; enjoys interfacing with internal and external clients.
· Adaptability and ability to work on a wide range of matters that arise on a day-to-day basis.
· Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
· Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines with a sense of urgency.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing deadlines and priorities.
