Creating high-quality digital visual models used in the industrial design and product development process, using an eye for materials, colors, finishes and a drive to create photorealistic images and animations. Presenting images, animations and real-time presentations that simulate all visual qualities of the final products and are used to support the decision-making process as well as for communicating the design intent across Apple departments. Interpreting and defining the design intent of the design team using KeyShot, 3ds Max, Maya, VRED, Substance Designer, After Effects, Photoshop and other specialized software, while directly collaborating with various teams across the company. Working with the design team, CAD team, Color and Materials team and Human Interface teams to produce a virtual model of each design iteration across all product lines, that renders photo-real and is ready for interactive presentations [Inspired by the complex interactions of light and materials in reality -manual placement of lights with a photographic approach is key]. Developing numerous product concepts, detailed appearance models, high-quality renderings, along with digital surface material development. Completing patent work—creating images for patent applications. Making advanced rendering and animations with various industry specific software tools. Working with software partners to develop highly refined internal tools for the visualization team to use. Understanding of NURBS modeling and polygonal modeling, to visualize surfaces and Participating in Product Design milestone checkpoints. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
