Position description
The Department of Theater and Dance invites applications a Lecturer teaching position during the 2024-2025 Academic Year for "History of Decorative Styles": a survey of the evolution of design styles, emphasizing the history of design and designers, including a study of both interior and exterior decoration with concentration on furnishing, accessories and the change patterns of culture.
Work will be in person on the UCSB campus. Reimbursement for travel and housing expenses will not be provided. Salary is standard, based on the UC’s salary scales and depends on qualifications.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Applicants must possess an MFA in Theater Design or, in the absence of a degree, 5 years equivalent professional experience in the specified field.
Preferred qualifications
A minimum of three years of Theater / Costume Design teaching experience at the college or university level.
