Configuration Management Specialist III - Position Description
ICI Services is currently searching for qualified personnel to fill the position of Configuration Management Specialist III at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Port Hueneme, CA. · Applicant must currently hold, or have the ability to hold, a DoD SECRET Clearance
Position/Job Description:
General Tasking Description:
· Provide Configuration Management technical services.
· Utilize workflow tools such as CDMD-OA to identify and report the baseline physical and functional characteristics for relevant equipment.
· Track, document, and report the status of Engineering Change Documentation (ECD) provided as GFI related to the functional, allocated and product baselines.
· Utilize CDMD-OA and other pertinent Logistics/Configuration Management systems and workflow tools when performing Configuration Status Accounting (CSA)
· Perform physical and functional configuration audits and provide technical findings reports.
· Update CSA changes provided as GFI to CIDMS.
· Gather, process, analyze, reconcile, enter systems engineering data, fleet modernization data, and facilities configuration data.
· Review Engineering Change Drawings to identify inconsistencies and recommended changes/updates.
· Communicate clearly and maintain good working relationships with peers and customers at all technical levels.
Experience Requirements:
· Minimum of 10 years of experience providing Configuration Management services to a DOD technical system or program, US Navy experience preferred.
· Fundamental understanding of all Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements is preferred.
· Knowledge of Configuration Management software and databases that include Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP), Technical Data Management Information System (TDMIS), Interactive Computer-Aided Provisioning (ICAPS), Configuration Data Managers Database - Open Architecture (CDMD-OA), Navy Date Environment (NDE), Configuration Identification Data Management System (CIDMS) is preferred.
· Strong organizational and communication skills
Educational & Certification Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree is preferred. A lessor degree, combined with additional years of significant, relevant work experience may be considered.
