Position Description Summary:
The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) is seeking a full-time faculty member in the Department of Surgery’s Division of Otolaryngology with a primary interest in general otolaryngology and sleep surgery. The MFA is an independent, non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University. This is a non-tenure track position and will be made at a rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) commensurate with experience. Candidates with clinical interest and/or a fellowship in sleep surgery are invited to apply.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Surgery’s faculty are committed to patient care, cohesive and focused team building, administrative leadership, as well as resident and medical student education.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Otolaryngology and eligible for District of Columbia Medical Licensure at the time of employment. Applicants must have completed an ACGME accredited residency in otolaryngology by the time of employment and demonstrate clinical expertise in general otolaryngology, as documented by residency surgical case logs and faculty references.
Applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching as evidenced by teaching evaluations, excellence in research as evidenced by scholarly publications or works in progress, and excellence in clinical care as evidenced by experience and professional references.
