Job Summary: | The Research and Financial Services (RFS) Office in the Spears School of Business is a centralized function dedicated to all aspects of the School’s financial operations. The major function of this position is to provide accounting support for all sponsored program activities and agreements for the SSB departments and assist principal investigators with the financial and general administration of sponsored awards/contracts. This may include: - Assisting with the pre-and post-award sponsored program management of federal, state, and private sponsors
- Working with researchers to coordinate, prepare, develop, and submit proposal, award, and modification routings
- Developing and monitoring budgets
- Researching and reviewing funding opportunities
- Submitting EPAFs
- Coordinating with other colleges and external institutions as needed.
- Serving as backup for grant fund reconciliation and final report submissions duties.
This position also supports the financial aspects of the Spears School of Business OSU Foundation accounts, including processing payments and reconciling accounts. Additionally, the position provides backup support as needed by processing campus vendor payments, p-card transactions, requisitions, etc., as allowed by state policy and procedures.
Initiative, accuracy, a customer-service attitude, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential in this position

Position Qualifications: | Required Qualifications: Four years of experience in sponsored programs administration or another closely related field. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience. - Knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, fund accounting principles, and federal and state regulations.
- Strong analytical abilities. Computer experience, particularly with spreadsheet and database programs.
- Ability to accomplish tasks without supervision using discretion and independent judgment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to approach complex task in a well-organized, detailed-oriented, and efficient manner.
- Demonstrated ability/desire to proactively collaborate professionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
Six years of experience in sponsored programs administration or another closely related field. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience. Knowledge of grants and contracts regulations; budget development; technical reporting; proposal submission, etc.
