Performs imaging procedures at an advanced level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of advanced technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.

Performs all job responsibilities of an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist II
Works as team member within assigned area to expedite patient care efficiently by demonstrating excellent communication and customer service skills. Effectively communicates with physicians, co-workers, managers, and patients in assigned sites and/or departments.
Completes yearly project designed for the service line and or for implementation at the system level, content agreed upon with management. Content areas include but not limited to evidence-based practice change; service line workgroup leadership; quality improvement; research.
Demonstrate mastery of all equipment utilized for procedures.
Active role in inventory management as assigned. Assures that annual lead apron testing is completed.
Active participation in quality improvement activities for department as well as system level workgroups
Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology (RT-R) or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology (RCIS) orcertified/licensed as a Paramedic in the state of Pennsylvania with current credentialing maintained. Bachelor of Science in health care related filed accepted but not required.
2 years of experience in invasive cardiology, vascular and/or electrophysiology.
Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Radiologic Technologist (RT-R). RT-R plus CV certification or RCIS or Cardiovascular Technologist plus RCIS. CPR and ACLS certification is required.
ARRT Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Echocardiograph and Ultrasound
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
