The Chief Financial Officer, reporting directly to the President and CEO, will have primary responsibility and oversight of the operations of General Accounting, Patient Accounts, Information Systems, Risk Management, Compliance, and Payroll. DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
- This executive level position's major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the completion of accurate and timely financial reports for Orthopaedic Institute for Children (OIC) and Orthopaedic Foundation (OF). Inter... more detailsaction with, and the furnishing of reports to, the Board of Directors (OIC) and Trustees (OF) of the respective organizations. Coordination and preparation of annual operating and capital budgets. Submission of tax returns to Federal, State and local agencies. Coordination of annual audits and other reports due to government agencies. Coordination of various insurance renewals (healthcare and general liability, property, directors and officers liability, workers compensation program) and there selection. Monitors OIC's and OF's compliance with covenant ratios. Prepares quarterly and annual reports to bond holder and bond trustee. Coordination, preparation and reporting of OIC's program reports. Coordination and preparation of the 340 B Factor Replacement Product (FRP) report. Submission of annual proposal to Department of Health and Human Services for indirect cost rate. Submission of required quarterly DHHS reports for existing NIH and Federal Grants. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS AND SUCCESS INDICATORS - Ability to maintain confidentiality, professional discretion and ethical behavior. Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, analytical, problems solving, and time management skills. Proficient in the operation of a personal computer, systems and application software required (MS Office, ADP, and Outlook). Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of the executive and management team. Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work effectively with a diverse community.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:Regionally accredited Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Public Health preferred. Master's degree preferred . plus previous years of experience in finance preferably in a not-for-profit healthcare setting. Complexity:Ability to perform highly detailed work with sustained attention and ware while providing/obtaining information on numerous inquiries is paramount to success in this position.
