The Santa Rita Union School District (SRUSD), located in the heart of the Salinas Valley of Monterey County, and is comprised of approximately 3600 students from Pre-School through Eighth Grade. Job Summary
Under the general direction of the assigned administrator or certificated staff member, the Behavior Aide performs a variety of activities in support of instructional programs for students with severe behavior needs; assists teachers and staff in development and implementation of programs and materials to enhance the student’s learning experience. Implements individualized programs within home and school settings for children with extreme behavioral needs. Prepares appropriate materials; supports children as they transition into general education settings; collects daily data and consults with the student’s IEP team on a regular basis.
Requirements / Qualifications
Completion of AA degree or two years of college, or any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to or higher from an accredited college or university.
Completion of nonviolence crisis intervention
Bilingual/Bi-literate English/Spanish
Safety Care Training or be willing to be certified in it
Previous experience working with children
