About you and This Role – What you will do in this role
The Maintenance Analyzer Technician will provide the technical expertise to partner with the Work Coordinator and Scheduler in performing analyzer work including leading maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex analyzer systems and participates in the installation, acceptance testing, and commissioning of complex analyzer systems.
Requires full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. Supports the facility in analyzer troubleshooting activities and provides expertise to improve reliability and effectiveness of analyzer systems. Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.
Responsibilities - Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role
- Repairs, maintains, and installs analyzer equipment which is used in the process.
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and replaces defective components on analyzer systems and documents failure analysis.
- Reads and interprets analyzer system diagrams, flow diagrams, logic, and loop drawings.
- Creates and follow hazards assessment indicating safety, health and environmental considerations for a job.
- Reviews the job procedure and verify work can be carried out safely.
- Performs the task as per the conditions of the Safe Work Permit.
- Works within established Maintenance Work Processes and helps resolve issues that surface as a result of planning and scheduling work.
- When additional craft support is needed, assists in planning, prioritizing, and scheduling maintenance through planner, work coordinator and operations input.
- Uses knowledge of SAP to requisition materials necessary to complete assigned analyzer troubleshooting and repair tasks.
- Checks sizing and specification of components and parts.
- Coordinates, specifies, requisitions, and installs parts and equipment.
- Supports robust procedure use culture which includes field use, reviews, revisions, and development of procedures.
- Participates in field interactions including procedure audits as requested.
- Provide influential leadership to the contractor workforce.
- Participates in a leveraged team of analyzer technicians by providing back-up and callout support in all facilities supported by the department.
- Cross-trains on analyzer equipment in facilities supported by peer analyzer techs within the department.
- Provides hands on training to peer analyzer techs on analyzer equipment for which this role is primarily responsible.
- Supports improvement culture by participating in root cause investigations.
- Works with Department Analyzer Technologist to assist facility Improvement Engineer and Run Plant Engineers by providing analyzer technical expertise in advanced troubleshooting and project development.
- ?Availability for weekend call and holdover overtime, callouts, plant turnarounds, is an expectation of the job.
- Role works a 4/10 schedule Monday through Thursday.
Qualifications - Required education, experience and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves)
- A minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and one or more of the following required:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Analyzer or Instrumentation Technology from an accredited educational institute.
- 3 or more years of relevant military experience.
- Technical diploma in Analyzer or Instrumentation Technology from an accredited educational institute.
- 3 or more years of experience in an industrial Analyzer Maintenance Technician or Instrument Maintenance Technician role required.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.

Your skills, knowledge, and abilities include:
- Ability to demonstrate the use of test equipment such as Multimeter, Continuity Tester, and Voltage tester such as a Fluke T5-1000.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret a SEOLD -- Safety Electrical One Line Diagram and identify and understand auxiliary circuits associated with each piece of equipment.
- Working knowledge of the operation and construction of low voltage electrical equipment.
- Willing to work within a Maintenance Work Process and help resolve issues that surface as a result of planning and scheduling of work.
