The New York Yankees are seeking enthusiastic Representatives to help promote our 50/50 Raffle fundraiser and be the driving force behind the Yankees program. Raffles take place at all Yankees home games, where one lucky winner receives 50% of the jackpot and the remaining 50% is directed to the Yankees Foundation to support ongoing charitable efforts.
Representatives are responsible for assisting with Raffle functions beginning prior to when gates open through the end of the Raffle at the conclusion of the 6th inning. This is an excellent opportunity for those who value taking initiative, approaching and working around large crowds, and are driven by results.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Arrive at Yankee Stadium up to two (2) hours prior to game time (arrival time subject to change)
- Assist with game day ticket sales to Yankees fans in either a stationary kiosk location or as a roaming raffle representative
- Approach and speak to a large number of fans each game
- Use mobile handheld or stationary device and printers for the sale of 50/50 Raffle tickets
- Communicate and educate fans about 50/50 Raffle details and rules
- Represent the Yankees and the New York Yankees Foundation in a positive manner as brand ambassadors, while providing world class service to our fans
- Understand the mission of the New York Yankees Foundation and effectively communicate and deliver information regarding the Foundation’s charitable endeavors
- Assist Raffle Supervisors with training 50/50 Raffle volunteers
- Assist Raffle Supervisors with troubleshooting and in-game management of raffle volunteers, supplies, kiosks, tablets and printers
- Commit to working a minimum of 40 games April through September, with the possibility of post season games
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School diploma
- Professional demeanor, hospitable and customer service oriented
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, quick learner
- Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the New York Yankees Foundation’s mission
- Flexible work schedule and ability to work majority of home games during the baseball season
- Ability to work in an outside stadium environment
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time (with or without reasonable accommodation)
