Job Title: Bookkeeper & Tax Preparer
Workdays: Monday through Friday, During Tax Season - Saturdays as Needed
Work Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1 hour lunch break 12pm to 1pm) 35 Hour Work Week
Annual Wages: $45,000 to $60,000Position Summary: The Bookkeeper & Tax Preparer works with our professional team members
primarily recording and analyzing data in QuickBooks Online for multiple clients,
communicates with clients weekly and monthly via phone, zoom or in person (at
our office), reviews clients financial statements internally weekly, reviews
financial statements with clients monthly via phone, zoom or in person (at our
office), reconciling bank, credit cards, loans and balance sheet accounts, sales tax
filing, scanning, working strongly in Excel, Word and Outlook, and preparing
personal and business tax returns
Required: Strong knowledge of operating QuickBooks Online (entering checks, reconciling,
creating rules for transactions, creating bills and paying bills, creating invoices and
applying payments), proficient in Microsoft Excel (features such as filtering and
sorting), Outlook (creating and assigning tasks, creating contacts, managing
calendars, managing multiple email accounts and subfolders), multitasking,
minimum typing speed 50 WMP, strong reading comprehension and critical
thinking skills, ability to follow company operating policies and procedures, ability
to work in fast-paced environment especially during tax season

Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities:• QuickBooks Online data entry for multiple clients
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, loans, balance sheets
• Manage chart of accounts
• Month end closing
• Prepare financial statements and generate monthly reports
• Review and adjust financial statements weekly and monthly
• Process payroll
• Communicate with clients weekly via phone, email, and text
• Manage excel worksheets
• Manage outlook mail, tasks, contacts, and calendars
• Manage incoming documents via in person, mail, email, and our web portal
• Prepare federal and state tax returns for personal and businesses
• Process franchise tax filings
• Process sales tax filings
• Process year-end 1099 filings
• Process business rendition tax filings
• Establish new entitles and register for EIN and State ID numbers
• Handle ad hoc projects and other administrative duties
• Greet and welcome each visitor in a professional manner
• Answer telephones, direct calls, and take messages, as needed
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $40.00
