Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Psychology Intern.
In this role, the successful candidate The psychology internship aims to prepare interns for future careers as professional psychologists. The program is designed to refine clinical skills through close supervision, clinical experience, and didactic learning.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of the organization’s Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
- Conducts standard clinical interviewing and psychological testing under direct supervision of a license psychologist
- Writes psychological reports and progress notes under direct supervision of a license psychologist
- Provides psychotherapy and cognitive remediation under direct supervision of a license psychologist
- Is available to assist staff in patient management
- Participates in departmental meetings and works with other psychology staff members on departmental issues and programs.
- Utilizes opportunities to promote professional learning and development, including attending weekly seminars.
- Maintains high level of professional behavior, e.g., judgment, planning, and initiative.
- Adheres to departmental attendance and punctuality standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree. Enrollment in a doctorate program in either Clinical Psych, Counseling Psych or School Psychology. Letter of Readiness from their program for Internship training.
Completion of doctoral level coursework and externship experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Externship experience in a relevant setting
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $30,000.00 - $30,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
