Sy-Klone International, a worldwide leader in the design and production of advanced precleaning and filtration systems, used in many applications including heavy equipment, mining, agriculture, fire and rescue, military, construction, demolition, waste, and forestry, is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team in Jacksonville.
Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor supervises and leads the assembly and packaging of heavy equipment air intake components, motorized units, filters, and associated hardware. This role directly supervises hourly employees and monitors workflows to meet daily production requirements and ensure all Sy-Klone products meet the high quality and delivery expectations of both the external customers and internal requirements in a safe and healthy work environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Promote safety and proper operating procedures within the department.
- Supervises a team of assigned employees for the assembly and packing of complex air intake components and associated hardware.
- Train current and new employees on policies, procedures, and job functions.
- Coordinate with the Sales, Materials, Shipping and Production Planners for daily workloads needs, monitoring progress, resolving problems, and reporting results.
- Coach and discipline employees as necessary. Manages and resolves personnel issues and escalates problems to leadership as appropriate.
- Maintains staffing levels by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and qualifying employees. Works to identify professional growth opportunities and high potential employees.
- Conducts training in various topics and various audiences, assists with new hire training, onboarding, and employee orientations and evaluations.
- Responsible for tracking time and attendance, resolving issues, and balancing production and personnel schedules to ensure successful performance and compliance.
- Schedules personnel, drives successful work results, and establishes priorities for the hourly workforce through cross-functional collaboration.
- Investigates and troubleshoots potentially unsafe conditions, equipment repair needs, or other areas of concerns and offers up resolution. Performs investigation and analysis of incidents such as near misses.
- Issues coaching, performance improvement, or discipline if needed and partners with leadership to correctly identify best paths forward.
- Enforces organization standards, policies, and practices and coaches for accountability and ownership.
- Maintain and foster communication and strong teamwork within all departments.
- Create and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of safety, quality, delivery, and cost/waste reduction through active cross-functional communication.
- Contributes to the continuous improvement efforts of increased safety, quality, delivery, as well as cost reduction through active cross-functional communication.

Education and Experience:
- Associates degree or professional certification preferred, High school diploma or GED required.
- 7+ years experience in an industrial or production environment with at least 2 years of that experience in a supervisor role.
- Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing , or Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills including written and verbal communication required.
- Proficient ability in Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft 365 areas. Experience with inventory/ production management (ERP systems) and Time & Attendance systems.
- Ability to read shop manuals, build orders and product drawings, and apply information to accurately build products. Ability to safely and efficiently use basic shop tools such as portable power tools, tape measures, screwdrivers, and hammers.
- Experience working in a small business or growth business environment preferred.
**5-7 years applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking in a Warehouse environment on leveled and non-leveled walking surfaces.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, climb, stoop, bend, and conduct work at waist level.
- Prolonged periods of work in an industrial warehouse environment including production lines and motorized industrial equipment.
- May be required to utilize ladders or work from heights on occasion. May need to utilize provided personal protective equipment including glasses, hearing protection, or respirator protection if required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs at times and 20lbs regularly.
- Normal auditory, visual acuity, depth perception and peripheral vision, ambulation and dexterity.
- May have prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
