Job Overview:
The Pharmacist provides comprehensive oversight for all prescribed medications used within the facility according to current professional, regulatory and hospital standards. Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors in Pharmacy or PharmD
Preferred:
- One year of applicable work experience in a hospital setting or hospital-based residency program

- Shift working, 8:00—4:30pm
- Monday-Friday

Essential Functions:
- Provides direct supervision of all non-pharmacist personnel
- Reviews all medications and/or ingredients prior to dispensing in accordance with established procedures and prioritizes department work flow
- Performs all procedures accordingly, completely and efficiently based upon the physician order and clinical status of the patient
- Utilizes the medication screening process to ensure medication orders are complete and are based on the patient's condition, age, lab parameters, co-morbid conditions and other medications
- Prepares and dispenses narcotic controlled substances and maintains an inventory in accordance with policy and applicable regulations, and completes controlled substance monthly audit reviews
- Prepares and dispenses sterile products, chemotherapy, and other sterile products in accordance with policies and procedures
- Completes medication variances and adverse drug reaction reporting
- Completes clinical monitoring and documents clinical interventions as assigned
- Performs patient care area evaluations and inspections
