Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Control Planner at FormFactor Inc. who will oversee the execution of production schedules, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves monitoring production activities, coordinating with various departments, managing inventory, and addressing any issues that arise during production to meet the company's quality and delivery goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Oversight:
- Monitor daily production activities to ensure adherence to the production schedule.
- Proactively Adjust production schedules as necessary to address any delays or changes in demand and closely communicate to Planning/Scheduling team.
- Ensure that production goals are met, and products are delivered on time.
Coordination and Communication:
- Act as a liaison between the production, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams.
- Facilitate regular meetings with relevant stakeholders to review production progress and resolve any issues.
- Provide daily updates to Planning/Master Scheduling on production status and any potential impacts on delivery schedules.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production status, schedule adherence, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Utilize ERP and other software tools to maintain accurate production records and forecasts.
Inventory Management:
- Ensure the timely availability of materials and components required for production.
- Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock, optimizing stock levels for efficiency.
- Work with the procurement team to manage lead times and supplier performance.
Problem-Solving and Process Improvement:
- Identify and address any issues or bottlenecks in the production process.
- Implement corrective actions to keep production on track and minimize downtime.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry or with probe cards is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
The pay range for this role in Livermore is between $84,800 and $111,300. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
