IGS is currently recruiting for a remote Vice President of Business Development to support IGS.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President of Business Development to lead our business expansion efforts with specific focus on data analytics, health informatics, cloud migration, and the modernization of federal information systems.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, identifying new business opportunities, and nurturing strategic partnerships. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Business Development will lead the BD team and collaborate closely with cross functional departments to achieve company objectives.
Assignment of Work and Travel:
This is a remote access assignment. Candidates will work remotely daily and will remotely access IGS systems and therein use approved IGS provided communications systems. Travel will be required to attend meetings, conferences, events and any other activities deemed necessary by the CEO.
Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market presence.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitor strategies, and potential opportunities for growth.
- New Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
- Partnership Development: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance our service offerings and market positioning.
- Team Leadership: Provide effective leadership and guidance to the business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track business development activities, evaluate success, and drive continuous improvement.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with finance and executive leadership to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial targets for business development initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, to align business development efforts with company goals and objectives.
- Execute call plans, Teaming Negotiations and capabilities screenings through capture/proposal processes to include full Shipley process with documented AARs.
- Facilitate pipeline mechanic metrics and requirements by moving opportunities through gates on prescribed timelines.
- Dedicate cycles to support recompete opportunities to ensure retention of business and customers in the IGS portfolio.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership position.
- Deep understanding of the federal services industry, market dynamics, and customer needs.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving growth and innovation.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
- Experience in the pursuit of new work outside existing areas of capabilities. Able to manage all aspects of the BD lifecycle from account identification, penetration, pursuit strategy, and contracting.
- Experience providing insight and contributing to writing winning proposals and responses to Federal Task Orders, RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and Sources Sought.
- Able to evaluate company past performance and past performance of subcontractors to maximize award potential.
- Ability to work efficiently and perform multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for a wide variety of audiences including proven ability to deliver conference presentations.
- Self-motivator with ability to work remotely as part of a team, or independently with little supervision or direction.
- Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while simultaneously maintaining the "big picture" view.
Preferred Qualifications and Core Competencies:
- PMP or ITIL v3 Foundation certification a plus
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Active or ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance.
- Prior, successful experience working in a remote environment.

Compensation: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
