DESCRIPTION
The mission of IP & Franchise Management team is to increase the long-term value of Studio-owned IP; prioritizing our biggest needle-moving properties. The team is responsible for operationalizing a business model that establishes strategic objectives and guidelines, and develops a clear and actionable plan to amplify priority Studio IP beyond the screen to drive long-term revenue-generating opportunities through supplementary extensions across internal and external partners.
Key job responsibilities Be the canon expert on assigned Franchises and catalog IP, create and maintain IP Guidelines, Strategy, Plans, and related deliverables to protect and scale the IP and ensure alignment across Amazon partner narrative and non-narrative extensions. Generate actionable insights in partnership with internal research & analysis teams (external when needed) through a deep understanding of the existing customers for each property. Collaborate with Creative Executives and filmmakers to clearly articulate strategic objectives and guidelines to internal and external business partners. Collaborate with Amazon business partners to create a comprehensive Business Plans built upon the core DNA of an IP and aligned to support the next movie or series installment. Work with IP & Franchise Management Team Lead to establish goals and KPIs to measure IP health and business performance; continuously assess the customer journey and performance data to drive the growth of assigned properties. Work with Marketing colleagues to facilitate Sustain tactics between new title marketing campaigns. Provide transparency on all cross-business IP activities and provide progress updates to business partners and leadership. Monitor and escalate potential issues to leadership in a timely manner before they become problems. Foster and maintain close relationships with all internal and external partners to bridge communications and facilitate issue resolution between Creative, Marketing, Legal, Business Affairs, Finance, Production, and GME teams as it relates to IP & Franchise Management . Monitor competitive landscape and market conditions for assigned properties. Support the growth and development of peers and more junior members on the team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 - 7 years of experience in Franchise/IP Management, Brand/Catalog Management, Consumer Products, Marketing, Creative Planning and/or Creative Strategy in the Media & Entertainment industry; preferably at a major Studio. - 2-3 years of experience in project or program management. - Has a proven ability to connect the dots across multiple business units to resolve issues and build consensus with partner groups. - Has a proven ability to earn trust and consistently behave as a collaborative partner in search of finding constructive solutions in ambiguous situations. - Regularly brings initiatives and deliverables to completion with a high level of accuracy, critical thinking, and a sense of urgency. - Has executive-level communication and presentation skills. - Handles confidential information with discretion and integrity.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Biases for action, but checks their assumptions along the way. - Has a proven ability to set and achieve objectives as well as solve complex problems in collaboration with multiple partners across functions and regions. - Extremely detail-oriented. - Comfortable working on several projects simultaneously and has the flexibility to prioritize based on the needs of the business. - Makes data-informed decisions, and regularly takes the time to ensure their sources are both relevant and diverse. - Experienced in both creating and delivering on content-focused business strategies and roadmaps. - Creatively inclined, but respects the expertise of narrative creative executives and filmmakers. - Has a tendency to completely nerd-out on franchise canon and lore. - Is passionate about film and television.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market.
