Provide effective leadership, management and coordination to platform/group/region in achieving enterprise goals and objectives related to Environment, Health and Safety.
The individual will interface with Group/Regional leadership, Division staff and any and all EHS personal in their group/region. Individual may have direct reports or strong dotted line reports for EHS resources in the group/region. Individual is accountable to the Group leadership team for EHS performance and results.
- Create an EHS culture of awareness and collaboration within the business environment.
- Build a close working relationship with the business units as well as Corporate EHS.
- Meet and exceed enterprise/group/regional EHS goals, objectives and targets.
- Drive EHS values into the business activities thereby promoting a process of innovation and a “safety first” culture.
- Work closely with Group/Regional staff in developing annual EHS targets and plan.
- Develop and implement programs and procedures to meet Group objectives and targets in EHS. Key focus points would include maintaining a zero-accident safety program; maintaining continuous EHS regulatory compliance; driving a results-oriented resource conservation program.
- Support development of systems to meet EHS requirements for all aspects of business from supplier to customer.
- Support efforts in Product Stewardship as required by the group/region.
- Manage and track EHS performance as required by enterprise/group/region.
- Support and Integrate EHS into Lean, Quality, HR, and Supply Chain efforts.
- Support and manage acquisition and integration activities.
- Support and manage remediation and corrective action associated with contaminated property and buildings.
- BS Degree in a technical field, preferably EHS (extensive experience with certificate programs, seminars and CEU’s or associates degree possibly acceptable).
- MS in a technical discipline and/or an MBA a plus but not required.
- Technical certifications i.e. ISO 14001, CSP, PE a plus but not required.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of EHS regulations and interpretation.
- In depth experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
- In depth experience in managing and implementing safety programs.
- In depth experience in managing and implementing environmental management programs.
- Must be able to travel globally, work independently and remotely as necessary.
- 30+% travel required.
- 12+ years of applicable experience.

- Excellent skills in communication, computer and presentation.
- Have strong business skills in working with multiple cultures, leading and influencing, resilience and adaptability, leading others.
- Have a strong passion in promoting a culture of safety first and environmental stewardship.
- Has the ability to plan and implement EHS programs on a global level.
- Ability to work effectively with senior management as well as associates on the shop floor.
