Primary Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a Principal Software Reverse Systems Engineer or CNO Developer with a strong background in telecommunications architecture and analysis to support multiple programs. You will work with other experienced members in R&D on system development and deployments for the protection of our country. You need strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently yet collaboratively in a team environment. You will generate briefings and present material to team members, customers, and AST management as necessary. On occasion, position will require travel to customer facility.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- Typically requires minimum 8+ years of practical experience in telecommunication systems architecture and systems engineering
- Minimum 5 + years of hands on experience with following tools:
- Experience reverse engineering using Ghidra, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, or Reversing Toolkits.
- Knowledge in assembly language (ARM, x86, Mips, VxWorks or PowerPC)
- S/W development experience in Python, C, C++, Java..etc
- Familiar with hardware logic and proprietary protocols.
- Ability to analyze network communications and low level protocol routing.
- Experience in performing network and application penetration testing.
- Experience working with customers, end users, hardware design teams, and software design teams
- Experience with reverse engineering of complex waveforms
- Experience with signal processing in developing proof-of-concept (PoC) use case scenarios and prototypes
- Experience developing system level designs, high level control and data interfaces
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 6 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
Security Clearance:
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with RF, optical, and/or electrical telecommunications standards and processing techniques
- Experience with Design, Development, Integration and Test of complex Communication systems
- Experience in developing proof-of-concept (PoC) use case scenarios in support of creation of novel waveforms
- Experience formalizing, developing and documenting requirements, plans, and procedures based on customer discussions, briefings, interactions, and statements of work
- Understanding of telecommunications systems concepts and signal processing fundamentals
- Existing Top Secret with Full Scope Poly (Active within the last 24 months)

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
