Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be responsible for development and production of break-through processes for FormFactors next generation Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) based contactor technologies.
- The candidate will support production in our world class MEMS wafer fab.
- Candidate will be responsible for development, characterization and manufacturing implementation of lithography processes for manufacture of MEMS structures. This includes coat, align/expose, bake, develop, and clean processes using thick resist systems such as SU-8. Candidate will define, design and execute experiments to test new processes, materials and structures for wafer based MEMS fabrication.
- Candidate will evaluate, qualify and implement new tools, consumables and chemicals necessary for development of these advanced lithography processes.
- Candidate will develop and implement metrology, process controls, data acquisition and analysis methods for the developed processes.
- Candidate will work on unit process development, yield improvement, integration of unit processes, and design for manufacturability.
- Candidate will collaborate with integration, design, modeling, test, reliability teams, and with other process development modules to bring new contactor designs from early R&D stages to high volume manufacturing.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- A masters or bachelors degree in Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or equivalent discipline. A Ph.D. degree is preferred.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in microstructure fabrication or semiconductor process development or manufacturing.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Expertise in statistical & design of experiment (DOE) methods, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $136,200 and $214,410. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
