The?Director, Virtual Sales, Texture and Healthful Solutions,is responsible for leading and managing the Virtual Sales team, including the Inside Sales Organization, overseeing sales strategies, setting targets, and driving revenue growth through effective sales tactics and client relationship management. ?Core Responsibilities:?
Leadership of the Virtual Sales organization and in meeting company targets for volumes, revenue and profitability, and growth targets for Texture & Healthful Solutions.
Development and execution of the annual sales plan for the Virtual Sales organization in support of the overall US/Canada Texture and Healthful Solutions sales strategy.
Ability to design and prepare for the evolution of Virtual Sales, including implementing/leading AI driven solutions for customer support and sales process optimization.
Proficiency in streamlining sales processes, automating repetitive tasks and leveraging digital tools to enhance productivity.
Team Leadership: Providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to the sales team, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to meet their goals.
Performance Monitoring: Monitoring sales team performance, tracking key metrics, and implementing corrective measures when necessary to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
Client Relationship Management*: Cultivating and maintaining relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and providing solutions to drive customer satisfaction and retention.
Market Analysis: Conducting market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, and using this information to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Technology Utilization: Leveraging technology platforms for virtual communication, collaboration, and sales tracking to streamline processes and maximize efficiency.
Reporting and Analysis: Generating regular reports on sales performance, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement, and making data-driven decisions to optimize sales processes.
Training and Development: Providing ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and knowledge, keeping them updated on industry trends and best practices.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments such as marketingand customer service to ensure alignment and synergy in achieving overall business objectives.
Qualified candidates will?have:?
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science or a related discipline with a minimum 10-15 years of Sales and Marketing experience - preferably in the Food ingredient industry. Recognized and respected by major food/beverage customers.
Leadership: Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a remote sales team effectively, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Strategic Thinking: Capacity to develop and execute sales strategies that align with company goals and adapt to changing market conditions.
Sales Expertise: Deep understanding of sales principles, techniques, and methodologies, along with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Analytical Skills: Capability to analyze sales data, identify trends and patterns, and derive actionable insights to optimize sales processes and improve performance.
Technology Proficiency: Comfortable with using various digital tools and platforms for virtual communication, collaboration, sales tracking, and data analysis.
Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to identify challenges, develop creative solutions, and overcome obstacles to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
