Job Overview:

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Zero to two years experience in General Accounting, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Microsoft Office proficiency required (Excel, Word and Powerpoint).
Preferred:
- Hospital finance experience
Essential Functions:
- Prepares the monthly Financial Statement Schedules for AVP of Finance, Senior Management, and Board of Trustees.
- Prepares General Ledger Journal Entries and reclassification entries as needed for Department Heads and Finance Team.
- Prepares the Financial Statements and coordinates tax filing for the Physician Hospital Organization (PHO).
- Provides support during the preparation of the annual Operating and Capital Budget by preparing required schedules and analysis.
- Prepare and file the quarterly City of Newark Parking Tax Return.
- Assists and provides other support as needed for Finance, Corporate Finance, and Senior Management.
- Collaborate with the Grants Department to assist with preparation and organization of grant related expense reporting and follow-up audits that may occur.
- Prepare, organize and edit various financial data for the Finance team and senior management.
