Continuity of Operations Planner
Key Role:
Manage the application of analytical risk management principles that enable organizations to achieve mission assurance by preparing for, preventing, mitigating, responding to, and recovering from emergencies. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts. Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Continuity of Operations (COOP) or Business Continuity
- Experience with presenting information to a range of stakeholders
- Experience with developing, delivering, and conducting workforce training, including continuity of operations, emergency preparedness, Business Process Analysis and Business Impact Analysis (BPA/BIA), and business plan development and management
- Knowledge of continuity and emergency preparedness procedures, policies, and directives associated with the National Incident Management System (NIMS), National Preparedness Framework, and Federal guidance and policy
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree
- PMP Certification
- FEMA Level I, Professional Continuity Practitioner Certification, or Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) Certification
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with Military or Civilian Government
- Experience as an Action Officer
- Experience with consulting
- Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
- Ability to support emergencies
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Master’s degree in Emergency Management or Crisis Management
- Continuity Planning Certification, including ABCP, CBCP, or DRCE from industry-recognized organizations, including DRII or FEMA

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
