The Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS, www.psers.pa.gov), is an agency in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that administers the pension plan for Pennsylvania's public school employees. The mission of PSERS is to maintain a financially sound System that supports over a half million members with a current pension fund of approximately $70+ billion. This position will play a contributing part in ensuring PSERS fulfills its mission and values.
PSERS is located in Harrisburg, PA, a mid-size city situated along the Susquehanna River. The Harrisburg area is affordable and near many attractions including Hershey, and it is only two hours from major cities and airports like Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington D.C.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Senior Investment Professional for Investment Operations will primarily be responsible for the oversight, development and enhancement of the Investment Office (IO) procurement and investment-related expenditures as part of the overall Operations team. The incumbent will work with multiple parties within the PSERS organization as well as external parties to assist in the processing and communication of appropriate investment-related expenditures. Additionally, this professional will support other aspects within the Operations group, PSERS Chief Compliance Officer, and Investment Compliance team on varying responsibilities. This position reports directly to the Investment Operations Manager and will operate with considerable independence, as this is a position that is expected to operate with authority and autonomy.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Telework: Teleworking is optional for this position with an occasional need to report to the Harrisburg office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a PSERS' Intermediate Investment Professional; or
Bachelor's degree and two years performing relevant investment operations or investment risk work; or
Six years performing relevant investment operations or investment risk work; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training. Successful completion of any of the following professional accreditations may be substituted for relevant work experience:
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA): 1 year per level passed
Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA): 1 year
Financial Risk Manager (FRM): 1 year per level passed
Professional Risk Manager (PRM): 1 year
Certified Securities Operations Professional (CSOP): 1 year (only applicable to Operations positions)
Certified Treasury Professional (CTP): 1 year (only applicable to Operations positions)
Additional Requirements:
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Bachelor’s degree
Three or more years performing professional relevant investment operations work in investment procurement and investment related expenditures
Three or more years as a PSERS’ Intermediate Investment Professional
Two or more years of experience in investment contract management
Two or more years of experience in administration of divestment activities
Two or more years in proxy voting management
Two or more years of experience in working with investment insurance compliance
Two or more years of experience in the management of investment regulatory requirements such as: 13F, AML, CRS, CFTC, FATCA, FINRA, KYC, LEI, SMMP, and QIP
