SUMMARY
Responsible for the operation and transportation of MDA mobile mammography vans to and from mobile events throughout greater Houston and surrounding counties. In addition, this role will provide patient check in responsibilities as well as other patient support duties for at each designated mobile mammography site.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES Mobile Unit Operational Duties Responsible for driving and operation of mobile units. Perform front-desk duties such as check-in mobile patients, review patient consents/release forms, document clinical history, etc. Effectively manages patient flow. Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to work effectively and efficiently. Complete defensive driving training every three years via MD Anderson’s Education Center. Ensure current vehicle insurance is on each mobile unit. Accurately track and submit mileage logs monthly to Fleet Management. Responsible for renewing CDL when due. Renew medical examiner's certificate every two years. Refuel mobile units when needed. Take mobiles to truck wash monthly and maintain the cleanliness of the interior Monitor when inspections are due for Vehicle Inspection Reports (VIR), AED, fire extinguishers, etc. for mobile units. Contact the Cabinet Shop for new or replacement cup holders and Facilities for the installation. Report loading dock parking issues to the Facilities Customer Advocate. Monitor and restock office and medical supplies as needed. Contact Facilities for trash bags and hand sanitizer refills. Drop off/pick up mobiles monthly from maintenance center and/or as needed. Complete vehicle inspection form pre/post trip. Assist Program Manager with performing site visits as needed. Will perform clerical functions when not scheduled on mobile or when mobile is not out.
Communication and Documentation
Maintain and order office supplies for the department. Reserve conference room when needed. Deliver or pick-up mail and distribute accordingly. Mail patient letters.
Other duties as assigned.
Required education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Required experience: Three years of Class A or B commercial driving experience.
Required license: Class A or B current Texas Commercial Driver License (CDL) . Good driving record as verified with the Texas Department of Transportation.
Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
