What We're Looking For Beverly Hills Public Library is seeking a part-time Librarian II, who has excellent research skills and familiarity with local history collections and can assist at public service desks. The ideal candidate has a strong customer service ethic and enjoys working with local history collections.
Work Hours As-needed work shifts may include evening or weekend shifts. Mandatory training shifts will include weekdays, and may require half-day or full-day availability.

Researches, evaluates, and selects materials for the Library's collection in all formats, including books, magazines, CD-ROM and on-line services; maintains the collection; selects materials to be withdrawn.
Compiles bibliographies on specific topics; maintains files of materials and answers to patrons' questions.
Assists the Librarian III or the Senior Librarian in preparing reports and statistics; prepares and distributes handouts explaining the Library's services.
Plans and presents programs.
Assists in training and supervising subordinate staff, including interns, librarians, pages, and volunteers.
Attends meetings and represents the Library with schools, community agencies and organizations.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Library Science and two years experience at a professional level.
