We are seeking a passionate Learning and Development (L&D) Manager to support the growth and development of Canteen’s Pacific Division employees. As the L&D Manager, you will be instrumental in creating a culture of learning and development. You will do this through collaboration with leaders and associates, along with client partners, broader Compass Group partners, and vendors, to build world-class learning programs and solutions for all levels within the organization. You will play a crucial role in helping individuals enhance their skills and knowledge.
The great things you can expect to do:
- Develop, design, deploy, and maintain end-to-end accessible and equitable training programs aligned with division KPIs to ensure ongoing learning and development needs of employees and leaders are met
- Organize, coordinate, deliver, and facilitate key learning and development courses and/or train the trainer sessions for critical initiatives
- Collaborate closely and consult with division business leaders, Compass leaders, People Operations team, and other internal champions (often matrixed relationships) to influence and propel regional L&D efforts, instill a continuous improvement and growth mindset, and share best practices across regions
- Assist in effort to map out key competencies and associated learning
- Partner with other functions (Programs, Talent Acquisition, HR, DEI, Mobilizations, MCE, etc.) to ensure appropriate training materials are created and delivered for key initiatives/processes (e.g., associate onboarding, job aids, peer to peer knowledge sharing, skill/competency checkpoints, LMS content)
- Become an expert on our internal learning systems and help continuously improve the way we leverage those systems
- Track learning programs to ensure measurement of participation, quality, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years in the learning and development strategy space, project management, and/or curriculum design and facilitation in an operational environment
- Highly proficient in Microsoft OMS tools
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
- Passionate about people development, leadership and mentorship
- Demonstrated ability to manage and influence multiple goals and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder and global environment to excellence
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of generational learning and adult learner theory
- A passion for people and teamwork, along with continuous learning and improvement
- Strong collaboration skills, preferably with experience across matrixed organizations
- Lean or Six Sigma certified
