Job Abstract

Under the general direction of the lead pipe stress engineer, provides piping flexibility stress analysis for projects.  Provides sound engineering judgment, seasoned experience, and technical design know-how to problem-solving assignments on projects. Independent development with minimum supervision required in associated team work with piping leaders and designers, other disciplines, functions, divisions and areas.

1. Assure that piping stress work is performed in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
   

2. Successfully communicate technical concepts between multidisciplinary teams that span several time zones.
   

3. Create drawings of special supports and other pipe stress related items to request quotes from vendors.
   

4. Provide technical support for construction and commissioning on an as-needed basis.
   

5. Support other’s technical growth by mentoring.

1. Bachelor of Science in Engineering
   

2. Formal Caesar II statics training or 2 years of successful pipe stress engineering experience
   

3. Microstation 2D drafting skills or ability to learn
   

4. 5+ years in an engineering environment
   

5. Licensed Profession Engineer registered in Alberta/ Ontario/ Saskatchewan
