The Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care at UCSF has been dedicated to healing, teaching, and discovering for over 60 years. From our inception in 1958 we have grown to one of the preeminent anesthesia departments in the world: providing cuttingedge therapies to patients; regularly ranking among the top 10 recipients of NIH research dollars; and, possessing an outstanding residency training program whose alumni have become national leaders in the field.
The site supervisor for our pediatric anesthesia division will make a significant impact by leading a small team of dedicated employees in ensuring the daily operations across sites function smoothly. The site supervisor will be the primary administrative oversight for the division of pediatrics within the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care. This role is made more complex due to the multiple coverage sites (SF Mission Bay, Oakland, Walnut Creek) and the differing policies and regulations governing the sites. The site supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the division across sites and facilitating the activities of the division including HR, space and facilities, equipment management, purchasing, communications, and IT. Many of the daily administrative support and executive support operations are carried out across multiple UCSF sites via the work of subordinate staff that you will support, encourage, and develop.
About you: you are self-motivated, detail-oriented, thrive in a team-focused environment where customer service is highly valued, and is scalable to the growing demands of the business. The supervisor possesses critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and business development skills. As well, you must be able to independently analyze issues, work with minimal supervision, and be exceedingly well-organized and flexible. This position communicates with all levels of leadership of the department and with internal and external UCSF stakeholders so diplomacy and tact are essential as well as excellent communication skills.
Join our team to experience a meaningful and welcoming work environment, extremely competitive benefits, and great growth opportunities; we are excited to meet you!
