Job Abstract

Cardinal Staffing Services, is immediately hiring for a Remote Senior Accountant for a BioScience group based out of CA. Qualified applicants must live in the state of OH. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the monthly general ledger close process including preparation of the journal entries, and balance sheets reconciliations for the assigned areas.
• Responsible for cash management including investment and bank reconciliations.
• Responsible for the fixed assets accounting: reviewing the fixed asset transactions and fixed assets schedules, preparing quarterly fixed assets roll forward and ensuring fixed assets are tagged and accounted for consistent with corporate policy.
• Assist in reviewing invoice batches. Full cycle A/P and PO processing knowledge is required to ensure data entry validation.
• Support the completion of both external quarterly/annual audits and SOX 404 compliance reviews including preparing various accounting reports and audit schedules.
• Coordinate/resolve issues of accounting matters with other internal and external personnel within area of responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with Company accounting policies and the application of generally acceptable accounting principles.
• Perform special projects and various ad hoc tasks as needed.

Experience, Education, Training, Traits:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Experience working in a public listed company preferred
• Experience working in biotechnical industry a plus
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Accounting strongly preferred
• Ability to manage various responsibilities with competing priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical skills and great attention to detail
• Proactive, self-starter with ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Work collaboratively in a team environment

Cardinal Staffing Services is invested in their team members! All contract employees are offered competitive compensation of $50.00 - $52.00 per hour.
This contracted role is scheduled to last approximatley 7 months Shift availability is as follows: 1st shift with overtime to be expected and end of quarters and yr end.
