QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of local homeless and social service funded agencies and requirements, including DHS Housing for Health, Department of Mental Health and LAHSA.
- Strong knowledge of continuum of care and best practices regarding service linkage.
- Strong working knowledge of mental health and substance abuse issues.
- Must be highly motivated and a self-starter. The ability to communicate with and relate to a diverse group of people including chronically homeless clients, community, and other staff. Must have excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise professional and para-professional staff while handling multiple tasks and relating to diverse groups.
Experience:
- Experience and strong commitment to serving low income and homeless adults, and special-needs populations.
- Program Management, including preparing and monitoring program budgets.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with partner agencies and convening meetings with other community organizations.
- Experience providing delivering services to homeless or low income individuals or families.
- Supervisory experience required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, psychology, public health, public policy or similar. Experience in program management may be substituted.
Direct Reports:
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to use widely supported internet browsers.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
- Valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
- Valid automobile liability insurance.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel to meetings at multiple St. Joseph Center sites and at community partner locations as needed.

Salary: $85,000 - $90,000/yr
