Job Title: Senior Accountant

Company/Industry: Family office 

Location: Port Washington, NY

Salary: $80-90k, commensurate with experience  + benefits

Status: Direct hire, FT, On-Site

Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day accounting and treasury functions for multiple entities within the Family Office.

- Collaborate with the Tax Director and Director of Accounting to ensure accurate and timely filing of reporting requirements.

- Implement and maintain proper controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.

- Oversee cash management activities, including monitoring cash flow, reconciling bank accounts, and managing intercompany transactions.

- Supervise payroll and employee benefits administration for the Professional Employer Organization (PEO).

- Prepare interest calculations for notes and oversee Accounts Receivable and Payable processes.

- Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank and brokerage accounts for all Family Office entities.

- Compile and review financial statements, general ledgers, and journal entries for accuracy and completeness.

- Assist in the preparation of year-end work papers and tax information for the tax return preparation process.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.

- CPA certification required.

- 4-6 years of experience in public accounting/tax, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals.

- Strong proficiency in account reconciliation, financial management, and financial analysis.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 Per Year
