Overview
This position is in an NIH-funded lab within the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology that investigates antibiotic resistance and vaccine development for pathogenic bacteria. Responsibilities
Perform routine procedures in bacterial culture; molecular biology (e.g., DNA and RNA purification, PCR); clone, produce and analyze recombinant polypeptides; and immunological assays (e.g., ELISA); work with live animals (mice).
Maintain laboratory and lab supply inventory, and monitor equipment for maintenance
Record experimental steps, data, and results.
Train students and part-time lab assistants in some of the lab procedures
Abide by established lab standards for communication, documentation, organization, and teamwork.
Qualifications
Education requirement: B.A., B.S., or M.S.
Technical/computer skills: Proficiency in MS Excel
Prior experience: One year (or more) of relevant laboratory experience is preferred.

USD $19,240.00/Yr.

USD $23,400.00/Yr.
