About the Team
Workday is actively looking for an experienced Executive Event Principal to manage a growing portfolio of executive events. You'll work on a variety of programs which directly help drive our business by enabling Workday’s most senior executives to connect with their peers. We're looking for a professional with progressive and demonstrated success in coordinating and executing executive events, from developing strategy to ensure flawless execution and then ensuring the right measurement plan.
About the Role
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Development of a new programs including dinner series and retreats as requested by our executive team.
Establish and manage nomination process for invitation-only events
Establish and manage process, meetings and milestones. Regularly communicate deadlines and interdependency to ensure established milestones are met.
Develop, track and manage program budgets; Generate metric and ROI analysis reporting on program effectiveness.
Work with brand and creative services to develop an enduring event brand as needed.
Manage vendor relationships required to support programs.
Collaborate with field marketing and key executives
Collaborate with sales to develop briefing documents to ensure adequate prep
About You
Qualifications:
10+ years of demonstrated success in "hands on" event management with at least 4 years managing executive events
Exceptional budget management and negotiation skills. Continually identify, propose, and implement cost-savings opportunities.
Deep event audience acquisition experience
Superior project management as, attention to detail and organization skills
Other Qualifications:
Resourceful and a self-starter that works best in a team environment.
Flexible in a fast-paced setting with competing and ever-changing tasks. Sense of urgency and strong work ethic a must.
Positive and have a consistent customer service orientation.
Possess high levels of tact and diplomacy and ability to interact with all levels of people including senior executives
Strong verbal and written communication skills a must.
Possess the desire to keep up with best-practices and market trends outside of Workday

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
