Position Description
Primary Purpose and Essential Functions
The Department of Pharmaceutics and Medicinal Chemistry, School of Pharmacy at the University of pacific has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral research fellow for a period of up to two (2) years from hire in the laboratory of Dr. Mamoun Alhamadsheh. The fellow will be focused on developing the research program of the Alhamadsheh’s lab funded by a research grant from NIH awarded to Dr. Mamoun Alhamadsheh.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Biology, or a related field within the past five (5) years.
Received a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Biology, or a related field within the past five (5) years. Proficiency in synthetic organic chemistry, biochemistry, and pharmacokinetic studies.
Candidates with previous postdoctoral experience must have one or more peer-reviewed publications as first or senior author in an internationally recognized journal.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in analytical chemistry methods (HPLC and LCMS)
Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
