Essential Functions:
Perform accounting and payroll tasks in an efficient, accurate and timely fashion supporting caregiver and patient
centered operations. Perform job functions demonstrating strong commitment to service to others while demonstrating
a commitment to integrity, compliance, and confidentiality.
- Assist in preparation of month-end close, including journal entries & account analysis.
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts, including employee benefit reconciliations, liability accounts, and asset accounts.
- Prepare and process caregiver payroll in accordance with all regulating bodies payroll compliance.
- Assist with set-up of new caregivers within the payroll system, including benefit enrollment, payroll deductions and PTO accruals. Receive and respond to caregiver payroll questions and concerns in a timely fashion. Responsible for updating the Medi Rev deposit log.
- Complete OIG/SAM/Medi-Cal Exclusions Screening for Caregivers.
- Participate in preparation of annual Costs Reports, Universal Data Systems (UDS) Reports, Federal Financial Reports (FFR) and others required by federal and other regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare bank deposits.
- Update employee benefit insurance allocation spreadsheets.
- Assist in preparation of annual audit schedules.
- Assist in preparation of quarterly newsletter submissions.

Physical Demands – Repetitive motions and routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, copiers/scanners and filing cabinets. Ability to see, speak, walk, hear, stand, use of hand/fingers to handle or feel; climb stairs, stoop, carry/lifting up to 20 lbs. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. It includes office equipment, such as, phones, computers, and printer/copy machines.

Experience:
1 to 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a medical setting.
At least 1 year of processing payroll preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Highly organized.
Proficiency in computer software programs (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
as well as accounting software platforms.
Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
Ability to interface effectively with staff.
Demonstrates the ability to read, write and speak English.
Meticulous attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Demonstrates interpersonal skills.
