Sr. Director, Corporate Finance - Modesto/Dublin, CA
Job Summary:
As the Senior Director of Corporate Finance, you will hold a pivotal leadership position, aligning crucial strategies with the company’s overarching financial objectives. Your role involves distilling significant financial insights for leadership by analyzing business outcomes, monitoring capital expenditure, scrutinizing G&A expenditures, and timely communication of risks and opportunities. You will spearhead the company's annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes while serving as the head of the Corporate Finance function, overseeing and guiding consolidated financial results and the creation of materials for Executive and Board meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the Corporate financial calendar and establish timelines for financial planning & reporting processes, encompassing month-end close reporting, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and long-range projections including cash flow and balance sheet outlooks
- Gain insight into and monitor the company's key performance indicators, providing real-time feedback on risks and opportunities to the executive team and business leaders
- Collaborate closely with the VP of Finance to refine financial models that drive strategic business decisions and operational efficiencies
- Lead monthly financial reviews to comprehend consolidated business results, drivers, and progress towards achieving company financial goals
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to model and analyze information, offering guidance on long-term financial target setting
- Develop a framework for analyzing the company’s corporate valuation model and identifying long-term value drivers and opportunities for enhancing financial and operational performance
- Oversee and evaluate total Corporate Support expenses and outcomes to ensure cost efficiency and adherence to established budgets
- Establish capital spending targets and an approval process to advise on strategies for optimizing return on investments
- Contribute to the production of monthly and quarterly key reporting deliverables, including recurring management and banking requirements, as well as Board of Directors presentations
- Lead efforts to continuously enhance financial reporting systems, processes, and policies for optimal accuracy and efficiency
- Cultivate a high-performing Finance team through leadership and skill development, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation
Hiring pay range: $182,107.00 - 239,015.00
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of data reporting and analysis including financial models, understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, NPV, IRR, and ROI
- Equipped to handle responsibility, collaborate, and excel in a fast-paced, small team environment
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and organizational talents
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior executives to influence corporate financial strategies
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with an emphasis presenting to executive leadership
- Ability to direct a diverse workload and team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; Strong fact-finding skills
- Advanced Excel skills; Proficient in PowerPoint and Word; Proficiency in financial reporting systems, Excel, and, ideally, ERP systems and BI tools
- Superior communication abilities, with the skill to simplify complex financial data for a variety of audiences
- Ability to exercise confidentiality
Experience: 12 years progressive and applicable financial management experience, preferably in Corporate Finance, Strategic Finance or FP&A. 10 years management, supervisory and/or leadership experience
Education: 4 Year/Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent experience/training in Finance, Economics, Math, or other quantitative fields. Masters Degree, MBA, or other advanced degree preferred.
