Centralized Patient Scheduler
Nova Medical Centers is looking for a Centralized Patient Scheduler who will be responsible for scheduling our patients for medical and physical therapy appointments throughout their assigned territory. A Centralized Patient Scheduler has excellent organizational skills, strong analytical skills, including troubleshooting and problem solving. We are looking for someone with outstanding customer service skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Schedules patient appointments and enters required information in the electronic scheduling system in an accurate and timely manner.
Communicates in an effective and professional manner with patient’s, center leadership and departmental leadership.
Problem solves with Center Directors and department leadership when barriers to patient scheduling are present.
Responds promptly to requests by patients, staff and insurance adjusters.
Reschedules or cancel appointments promptly as needed.
Consistently maintains professional demeanor during all calls, escalating issues to supervisor as needed.
Familiarity with medical and physical therapy terminology
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required - High School diploma or equivalent
2 Years’ experience in Healthcare Field dealing with customer service
Bi-lingual Spanish speaking preferred
Must have excellent telephone skills
Strong computer skills
Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
