About Our Client
Our client is a full service general Contracting company was founded in 1897 and has been handed down from generation to generation. They pride themselves in their community involved culture and massive volumes of repeat business. They build public and private projects including DPWs, Fire stations, Police Stations, Town Halls and other community structures ranging from $1M-$30M. They are looking to add an Estimator to their team to aid in their growing pipeline. They bid on projects weekly and have done about $50M in revenue this year and have a project pipeline and back log of $60M for 2024. This is an opportunity to work for a business that has been around over 125 years with the ability to work from home a few days a week in Western, MA. Job Description
The Construction Estimator will be responsible for:
Accurately assessing and estimating the costs associated with Public/Private Construction projects
Ensuring the projects are efficiently planned and executed
Collaborate closely with Project Management team and other key stakeholders
Analyze project requirements, interpret blueprints, and produce comprehensive estimates that align with client expectations and industry standards
Analyze project specifications and blueprints to determine project requirements and scope
Conduct thorough cost analysis for materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors
Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and quotes
Prepare detailed and accurate estimates
Participate in pre-bid meetings

The Successful Applicant
The Successful Estimator will have:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or other related field
5+ years as Construction Estimator in Public/commercial construction or related projects
Strong proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytic and mathematical skills with attention to detail
Ability to interpret construction documents and blueprints
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and subcontractors
Strong organizational skills
