Job Summary
The Records Management Tech II is responsible for effectively and accurately prepping, scanning, performing quality control, indexing, and performing final review for multiple document types before final submission to the company content repository. The Records Management Tech II has a thorough working knowledge and understanding of the various document types we experience daily. The Records Management Tech II focuses on data quality and ensuring final submission of data is accurate, complete, and without error as the data we extract/review is sent to various systems that can be utilized to make business decisions.
Performs a range of straightforward assignments. Contributes to tasks or projects within a team, function, or work group. Practical working knowledge of a technical or specialty area. Exercises independent judgment in accordance with policies, procedures, techniques, relying on limited experience to plan and accomplish work. Works under a moderate level of supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Document Prep – Organize, straighten, remove staples, and remove paperclips from files to be scanned. Remove/replace sticky notes that may be covering up important information.
- Scanning – Operate high speed production scanners to capture image of paper documents.
- Image Review – Review scanned images and ensure a quality image has been captured. Rotate, crop, or deskew images if needed.
- Data Review/Indexing – Review and validate the extracted data from the document. Correct and/or replace incorrect data extracted by the system.
- Provide key data directly to departments that allows for streamlining of business processes and ability to sustain current staffing levels and reduce the need to backfill.
- Recognize data patterns and sequences to quickly identify missing or incorrect data.
- Maintain security and proper handling of confidential and proprietary information.
- Ensure that letters and numbers have not been transposed.
- Utilize Grooper to convert image files to OCR searchable text.
- Cross train with other Document Management Techs to learn the workflow steps of each document type.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two (2) years of related office experience
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience utilizing Grooper or other document imaging software
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
