Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct face-to-face and virtual visits with prospective customers within your assigned market territory.
- Execute activities such as researching leads, stakeholder mapping, and creating comprehensive agendas with internal SMEs for effective support.
- Lead discovery calls to understand prospects' supply chain processes, project-manage logistics complexities, and strategize onboarding with colleagues.
- Ensure alignment with organizational strategies in forecasting, business planning, and pipeline development.
- Grow your specific market location by closing net-new business in collaboration with sales colleagues.
- Uncover and connect with ideal clients through a mix of self-prospecting and collaboration with our Top of Funnel Team.
- Employ a consultative approach to understand and design solutions for prospect and client supply chain needs.
- Create value-added solutions, showcasing capabilities through remote and in-person meetings.
- Lead the customer onboarding process by leveraging internal resources such as onboarding, Account Managers, and Pricing Representatives.
- Collaborate with Global Account Management teams to create and execute an implementation plan for an effective transition of relationship management duties.
- Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to efficiently manage customer business.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a full-cycle (prospecting to closing), quota-carrying sales role.
- 4+ years of experience in freight forwarding sales and/or supply chain technology sales preferred.
- Passion for client happiness, partnership, and relationship building.
- Competitive and creative drive to win over customers, thinking outside the box to achieve a close-won status.
- Proven success in building and maintaining long-term commercial relationships.
- Naturally curious and inquisitive approach to client discovery.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to connect in both virtual and face-to-face environments.
- Fast-learning ability, strong work ethic, and a strong desire to grow into a top 5% sales executive in the country.
